Job Overview

Position will be responsible for using established procedures, analyzing departmental fiscal data, programs and operations. Works to assist other departments as needed in preparing all company fiscal reporting. Utilizes current organization-wide and/or department specific software to gather results.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Perform financial analyses of beer menus, new items, and promoted items to contribute to the success of the overall company including revenue, same-store sales, net income, and restaurant unit growth.

  • Partner with operations’ team members to development integrated results summaries, insights and recommendations.

  • Generate period and quarterly financial analysis to support the financial reporting close process.

  • Track merchandise sales and trends at the in store level and online outlet.

  • Supports fact-based Restaurant-level and corporate budgeting process.

  • Leverage sales, guest, financial and operational data to conduct deep dive analyses to help the business thoroughly understand key sales trends, drivers and opportunities.

  • Improves financial results by analyzing data; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.

  • Attends meetings and presents fiscal data on assigned projects.

  • Leads development of annual budgets, monthly forecasts and month-end reporting of actual results, including variance analysis to forecast and budget

  • Provide business/financial analysis and decision support that allows management to evaluate alternatives, make fact-based decisions, and evaluate the consequences of decisions

  • Builds business partner relationships across the organization and be seen as a business partner to collaboratively solve problems, remove obstacles to enable achievement of goals

  • Works with Business Operations and other key stakeholders to generate requested reporting output

  • Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for special projects and initiatives

  • Develops and prepares month-end performance presentation, understands detailed data and is able to pull key performance drivers into cohesive story to communicate to senior management and cross functional stakeholders

  • Collaborates with functional leaders to standardize monthly financial reviews and establish a more comprehensive forecasting and budgeting process

 

Requirements

∙ Bachelor's degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline

∙ 3+ years financial experience, preferably in a manufacturing or beverage background

∙ Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken

∙ Strong willingness to learn on the job and perform in stressful situations.

∙ Jedi Master level skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel

∙ Skilled at extracting, manipulating and transforming raw data into meaningful information

∙ Ability to present multidimensional data in a clear and concise fashion in tables, charts, and graphs

∙ Experience with integrating, structuring and analyzing large amounts of data from diverse sources.

∙ Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of sensitivity for confidentiality

∙ Highly detailed orientated


 

Compensation

Badger State Brewing is a rapidly growing craft brewery with immense opportunity for all employees to share in said growth. Wages and salary will be determined based on experience and are negotiable.
