Badger State Brewing Company is seeking an Assistant Events Coordinator who will be responsible for the supporting the Events Coordinator to aid in the successful execution of events hosted at and by Badger State Brewing. This position will report to the Events Coordinator and Director and work closely with the rest of the Badger State Brewing team to ensure each event runs smoothly.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting the Events Coordinator with:

    • Managing vendor relationships.

    • Confirming vendor arrival times and being flexible to accommodate various schedules.

    • Conducting event space tours for prospective clients (couples, businesses, etc.).

    • Clarifying any event information prior to event start.

  • Following and applying event setup standards in all event spaces.

  • Executing events of 50-400+ guests without supervision.

  • Informing event staff of any “need-to-know” information.

  • Implementing pre-event check-ins and post-event check-outs.

  • Addressing any questions or issues as they arise in a calm, professional manner.

  • Performing additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Passion for craft beer is a must!

  • College level degree required; Experience in marketing, alcoholic beverages, communications, journalism a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), website management tools, and Google suite (Docs, Sheets, etc).

  • Strong copywriting skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to judge and source high-quality photography and above average cell-phone photography skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent decision making, and problem solving skills.

  • Highly creative with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high volume environment while being proactive, solution-oriented, motivated and able to take initiative.

  • Proven ability to work to strict deadlines.

  • Must possess a flexible “can-do” attitude and enjoy working and collaborating with a team.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.

  • Willingness to learn on the job and perform in stressful situations

Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee may have to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.


Compensation

Is based on experience. Compensation includes a base salary plus variable compensation based on monthly goal achievement, phone allowance, mileage allowance, and expenses. Flexible work hours and vacation time are all available with tenure. Badger State Brewing Co. is an independent family-owned company that provides many benefits not listed here including but not limited to sales clothing reimbursement, tap room and event hall discounts, and beer sampling program.
