Last week our family lost an important part of the mission of Badger State Brewing. Lincoln, who has been here since before the brewery opened its doors passed away unexpectedly after 12 years with us. He was the inspiration for the Golden Daze brand (alongside Dakota) and an absolute lover to anyone who met him in the garden or our facilities. He even worked a few beer festivals with us which not many brew dogs can say. If you knew us, you likely knew Lincoln. Dogs have been an integral piece of who we are at Badger State. As pet owners we have a special place in our hearts for these animals that make our lives better. We were the first dog friendly space and beer garden in Green Bay. Our Ambassadog contest has spurred countless others at breweries throughout the state and our fundraising efforts for community groups had and always will include supporting animals, especially pets needing homes. Golden Daze was meant to inspire appreciation for every moment we have with one another. Pets, family, friends, even a stranger and a good conversation - this is why we believe beer brings people together. To anyone raising a glass to a lost dog or pet this day or any, we’re there with you. To those of you who met Linc, we hope your day was brightened because of the most spirited Golden we were blessed to know. We love all dogs that have shared in the Badger State story with us over the years and will continue to do so. This one’s for you Linc. -Andrew, Megan, & Our Badger State Family,
